London Network for Pest Solutions (LNPS) has been named a finalist in the ‘Best Innovation in Business’ category at the 2023 Newham Business Awards.

Now in its seventh year, the awards are organised by the Newham Chamber of Commerce and they recognise the amazing work being done by businesses in Newham and East London. The ‘Best Innovation in Business’ category, sponsored by The Royal Docks Team, is open to companies that have raised their profile, profits and/or efficiency by innovating in a way that fundamentally changes the way they do business.

LNPS has been shortlisted for its new pest-proofing service. At a time when some national pest control companies are failing to invest in the residential market, due to higher costs and a greater level of difficulty, LNPS has created an innovative pest-proofing service that specifically targets the needs of the tenant and homeowner. By integrating handyman expertise into the pest control process, LNPS has created a new service that is very effective and better for the customer and the business.

LNPS Managing Director Paul Cooper said: “Over the years, I’ve watched as my industry tries to work around the need to employ individuals who are good at both proofing and pest control but it’s very difficult to find people who have both skillsets.

“Our solution takes a different approach. Our pest-proofing team includes both specialist technicians and handymen trained in pest control techniques. It makes the service simpler and more efficient and effective for customers.

“Being shortlisted at these prestigious awards is a real achievement for us and a clear demonstration that we are making real changes that should be taken up by other companies in our industry.”

The judges will now interview the shortlisted companies, before the winners are announced at a special gala awards dinner on the 23^rd November at The Old Town Hall, Stratford.
