New coronavirus sanitisation service
We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new sanitisation service, for public areas that require disinfecting as a precaution, and sites with known Covid-19 cases. As London pest control specialists, our high levels of PPE mean that we can provide this essential service to customers and clients, who are concerned about the hygiene level of properties, such as homes, schools and hotels. As we don’t believe it’s fair to charge high prices for a service that is vital for the health and wellbeing of the British public, we have reduced our hourly rate.
The LNPS team is well equipped to provide this service to sites, with varying circumstances and requirements. Once our staff arrive on site, they will survey the area and carry out risk assessments to confirm whether there is a higher risk of contracting the virus. As you may be aware, public areas where a symptomatic individual has passed through and spent some time, can be contaminated with bodily fluids, so it is important to take note of key touch points on the premises, before creating a specific treatment. These include bathrooms, door handles, telephones, grab-rails in corridors and stairwells.
The service we provide ranges from daily sanitisation, to a weekly ‘peace of mind’ check. If there is any indication that a high risk of contamination may be present, or if visible bodily fluids are present, we advise that these sites be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with UK Government guidance on Covid-19.
If any items are heavily contaminated with body fluids and cannot be cleaned, they will be disposed of in the appropriate manner and our staff will arrange for infectious waste collection, either by your local waste collection authority or by a specialist clinical waste contractor.
Carrying out such procedures will reduce the risk of passing the infection on to other people, however this service does not guarantee that it will fully eliminate the chance that staff, or residents may catch Covid-19. Our aim is to minimise cross infection and to help reduce the potential spread of harmful viruses.
